Tickled Pink: Sassy, Classy, Sexy, Period.

I've been gone for a minute but I'm back to business!! What a weekend I had, which happened to be a 4-day weekend along with Valentine's Day. Now while I personally am a hopeless romantic, I haven't had a more amazing weekend than the one I just shared. Now a little monkey wrench tried to wreck my weekend but my guy wouldn't allow it, and thank goodness for him. He gave me the room to be upset for a little while when we discovered someone has been stealing my photos and taking credit for my work. I didn't know whether to be flattered or insulted at first but insulted, disgusted, frustrated, and flat out pissed off won for a moment.  But as we were driving to our destination (a secret to me, a surprise from him) it started to subside when I saw the lovely mountains of the Poconos,I had never been there! And it was amazing! Our wonderful weekend started in the city on Friday night  to see "Misery" on Broadway with Bruce Willis and Laurie Metcalf...bo...

Before I jump into this #FlashbackFriday let me bring you guys up to speed... What a couple of weeks I’ve had!! You know when I started this blogging journey; I didn’t really know what I was getting into. Sewing is my sanity and if I didn’t have it, I might go absolutely mad! Since September I essentially was working 3 jobs (yes 3 jobs) Before Care, Day Job, and After Care. Now while this all took place in one location…I was drained working from 7am to 6pm. I started to notice that let alone was I not having enough time to blog; I was too exhausted to sew! My son who has Autism was doing okay at first but then started to have more frequent meltdowns. I also was in preparation to send my daughter back off to complete her senior year of college with financially issues!! So who do you think had a meltdown next?  MiMicItMonday is back!! I needed a little break and I'll tell you guys why on Friday. What a week!   Now its no secret that  I have undoubtedly been a tad bit obsessed with winter white this season.  I put my little twist on this number from Beyonce's Ring The Alarm video. Why it's "Sassy,Classy, Sexy, Period." Pair it with a bold red lip, and pink leather boots and sound the alarm!  To create this look : I used Simplicity 1283 and extended the crop top to make the dress.A Mimi G tutorial for  the cocoon sweater was used and  I used a  mash-up of McCall's 6844 and 6442 to create the second coat/dress. Although I love this winter white look and  due to the overwhelming amount of snow this weekend (28 inches) I  am sew over winter! I give up on the winter  for right now. Yay!!! It's Friday and it's a 3-day weekend...what are you guys doing this weekend? Let me know below. Well first things first...FREESTYLE FRIDAY!!!! Anyone that knows me, knows I love my skirts and maxis...I even adore my wide legged palazzo pants. However I almost never ever wear jeans! Even on the occasional "dress down" day at work I don't do it. That's mostly in part to my shapely figure and I find it very hard to find jeans that fit me (insert sad face) UNTIL NOW THAT IS!!! The struggle is indeed real...I recently went back to Weight Watchers because I am trying to be the best me I can be. Now you might be saying, "She's fine!" "What does she have to lose?"
